  I grew up in the St. Louis Methodist Church. My husband and I were married by Rev. DesAutel who, although he had moved up in the ranks of the church, agreed to perform our ceremony twenty-five years ago. He had been so influential in my life with the church.
  Mother moved away, after having lived in St. Louis for 66+ years, but the Message still reaches me and I read it every month to see what is happening in my "home church".
  I could list the many memories from the church and it's family but it would be such a long, happy list that it would go on forever.
  My initial reason for e-mailing was to inform you of a small change in my address. Although you changed street address for us, the zip code still contains our old post office box so it still goes to the old address. They call us and we pick up the message. Our correct address is 550 Harrison St., Harbor Springs, MI 49740-1007. Those last four digits of the zip code was the mix-up.
  My mother, Lois Gifford, just celebrated her 91st birthday and is doing quite well.
  This has given me, though, an opportunity to remember some wonderful people and times.
  My love and thoughts are with my home church and its family.
